Cigdem's Hammock Saddle Picture

Following up a recent discussion on our listserve Cyclesis; Hammock Saddle.
Yovo asked me to send her a link of my hammock saddle (Kilpatrick type). Since my saddle is a home made one, here is the picture of my saddle.

10,000 miles by Keri

2 miles into my commute home tonight I will hit 10,000 on my
cyclometer! I figured if anyone in the world would understand my
great joy at this, you will also be a reader of this listserve :)

Some of those miles were spent on the most gorgeous of days when the
wind was at my back, the temperature perfect, the lake deep blue, the
air clear, the sun shining, and the joggers not awake yet. Some of
those miles were spent with my head down slogging through strong
headwinds, heart pounding as I counted the seconds between a streak

This is a picture of my daughter's best friend (and our neighbor) Jamilax. She rode her bike to school every day up until about the end of October (rain or shine).

Keri's Bike Fit Story

Finding a bike that fits you and your riding style is extremely important. A poor bike fit may leave your wonderful new bike rusting away and gathering cobwebs in the closet. A good bike fit may lead you to abandon your automobile and never look back. Here's my story...

A young woman with a purpose

A young woman with a purpose

This girl was in the Veteran's Memorial Middle School bike parade this year ('06). I've since seen her around town on this bike, so I'm assuming it's hers and not a loaner. She is powerful. While other girls were distracted by antics from the boys, I noticed that she drew eyes but *nobody* messed with her during the ride. Note too, that while other girls rode sweet rides, her bike is actually *rideable* due the long wheel base. Some of the other low riders are virtually impossible to pedal; they are designed more for sitting on rather than for actually riding.

My Story Of The Day

my story of the day, June 4, 2006, Sunday

i saw a fairly young family (average of 39-42) at north branch trail today. they went by and leave me a sweet spring breeze on my face and a great memory of a cycling family schenery in my vision..

a woman with a trailer and 2 babies in the trailer.
followed by (dad?) on a tandem bicycle with kid on the front seat (on the handlebar 2-3 yr old), an older kid (9-10) on the stoker, and a bicycle hooked on the back of the tandem with another boy (6-7 years old)
attention: this is a family with 5 young children!!! nothing is impossible..

psssst: somebody gotta tell them about birth controll! or they will run out of options to add a cyclist on their cyclo-convoy. how about a double decker cycle? such thing even exist?
