10/21/2006 - 2:00pm

Ever wanted to experiment in new cuisines, or visit a part of the city you've never been to? Or perhaps this is a personal favorite that hasn't been visited in a while?

Come join us on a ride to Devon Street on the far north side of the city. Experience the splendors of South Central Asia when we ride our bikes to the charming Indian Garden restaurant (http://tinyurl.com/err5u) for lunch in the heart of this exotic Indian/Pakistani neighborhood. Vegetarian and Vegan choices are available.

The sights and smells of Devon are intriguing. Incredible jewelry stores, unusual grocery choices, interesting sari shops... You'd swear you are in a different country!

Note: bring panniers or baskets to carry your shopping treasures home.

Ride length: approx 25 miles
Pace: about 12 mph... this is a "social" ride, not a training ride

Return via bike or take the 'el' red line.

Because of the length of this ride, please contact Jane before the day of the event to confirm.

Meet at the feet of the Brachiosaurus on the NW corner of the terrace of the Field Museum. The views of the city can be spectacular, so think about bringing a camera.
