Event Description:
Come join a bunch of school kids from Lincoln and Whittier Elementary Schools, their parents, and the Blue Island Bicycle Club for our annual clean-up day in Whistler Woods and on the Major Taylor Trail. This is a wonderful, family-friendly event that inspires you to get back in touch with nature. It also reaffirms a faith in community spririt and activism. Join us for two hours of hard work, laughter, and interesting discoveries about the natural world. Wear clothing appropriate for the weather and foot gear that doesn't mind getting muddy.

Location:
Meet in the parking lot of Whistler Woods in Riverdale, IL, at 10 am. This is the terminus of the Major Taylor Bike Trail. Look for the school bus of kids and/or the bike crew. The BIBC focuses on the trail while the students focus on the area around the parking lot and the woods to the West and East. Many people bike in to the event down the MTT or from Blue Island (Memorial Park field house). There are many public transportation options to the general area, especially if you have a bike.
