Event Description:
Ever wondered how to do basic bike maintenance? Well, here's your chance! Come on out for this fun, friendly, chick-only workshop on basic bike duties like cleaning and lubricating your chain, adjusting your brakes, and changing a flat tire. We'll teach you what to do, and then answer any questions while you work on getting your own trusty steed up to speed. At the end, we'll have the option of taking a leisurely cruise through the neighborhood on our nicely tuned up wheels.

The next fix-a-flat session is set for Saturday, July 14 at Bubbly Bicycle Works / Chicago Cargo Bike & Trailer Co, located at 1048 W. 37th Street in Bridgeport. I'll be there from 11 - 1, so bring your flatted tubes and other bicycle related questions.

Event Description:
Explore Chicago's south-side vegan eateries with friendly bicyclists when the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation and EarthSave Chicago host the fourth annual Veggie Bike and Dine on July 14, 2007. The Veggie Bike and Dine celebrates healthy dining and the diversity of Chicago’s neighborhoods while celebrating bicycling's vital relationship to food, socializing, and civic life. The menus are entirely plant-based and exclusive of meat, fish, dairy products, eggs and other animal products. Registration is $50 for Chicagoland Bicycle Federation and EarthSave Chicago members. Non-members pay $55.
