Event Description:
Ever wanted to experiment in new cuisines, or visit a part of the city you've never been to? Or perhaps this is a personal favorite that hasn't been visited in a while?
Come join us on a ride to Devon Street on the far north side of the city. Experience the splendors of South Central Asia when we ride our bikes to the charming Indian Garden restaurant (http://tinyurl.com/err5u) for lunch in the heart of this exotic Indian/Pakistani neighborhood. Vegetarian and Vegan choices are available.
The sights and smells of Devon are intriguing. Incredible jewelry stores, unusual grocery choices, interesting sari shops... You'd swear you are in a different country!

Location:
Meet at the feet of the Brachiosaurus on the NW corner of the terrace of the Field Museum. The views of the city can be spectacular, so think about bringing a camera.

Thursday, November 9, 2006
Start: 5:30 pm
End: 9:00 pm

Event Description:
Come join us on a tropical romp to the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory. This is a 'dark' ride, so be sure to have a headlight and blinkies.
We will start in Hyde Park at the Coffee Shop under the 56th Street Metra Electric/Rock Island station, then tool up to the beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory for a self-guided tour of this lovely landmark.

•Dress in layers as the ride is bound to be chilly, while the greenhouse is downright jungle-like.•

Ride length: approx. 24 miles round trip. Return by bike, or by the 'el' Blue line ---> Red line.
Dinner in Little Italy at Tuscany Restaurant at approx. 8 pm. Tuscany is a bit pricier than our normal CS haunts, so either plan on eating light, or bring a bit more cash than you normally would. (http://www.stefanirestaurants.com/tuscany.htm)

Location:
Starts at 56th Street Metra station (coffee shop at the feet thereof)
